Clan Information: Descended from Freskin, a Fleming, the Murray Clan came from an ancient province of Moray, where Blair Castle remains the Clan seat. Our chief is John Murray, 11th Duke of Atholl. Andrew Murray’s forces fought at Stirling Bridge. Lord George Murray supported the Stewarts in ’45 and the Murray Clan was the only one allowed to keep a private army.
