Clan Information: “Despite Them” are the words written on the tomb stone of Rob Roy MacGregor. These words represent the survival and thriving of the Clan Gregor, one of the most persecuted peoples in the British Isles. Tracing their ancestry from King MacAlpine, the Clan Gregor, also known as “The Children of the Mist,” tenaciously fought to preserve their lands and way of life, even when their name and clan was outlawed for 171 years. The Chief of Clan Gregor is Sir Malcolm MacGregor.
